Right, Spring's here, time for a diet! Prairie dogs soak up the sun in Arizona

By Daily Mail Reporter When you’ve dragged yourself out of your burrow, sometimes all you’ve got the energy for is sitting back and watching the world go by. These prairie dogs looked extremely well-fed when they were caught soaking up the sun by photographer Jane Lyons, 39, who spotted them in Arizona. The highly social creatures are known to live in Canada, western parts of the U.S. and Mexico. The tubby little critters still seemed to have sleep in their eyes. Jane, an interior designer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, said: ‘I managed to get the shot without them becoming too alarmed and it seems I caught them at a relaxed moment. 'I was really thrilled to have photographed their closeness and very unique charm and personalities.' 'Summer breeze makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind': This family of prairie dogs look very relaxed in the Arizona sun source:dailymail
