Clever: This is the moment a hungry puppy was caught by a hidden camera stealing his master's steak

Busted: Topagna the Chinese crested dog was caught devouring the dinner of Indiana family the Reinens after they set up a CCTV system to find out who was stealing their food

Not to be outdone, she rears herself onto her hind legs to push a wheeled chair over to the table, jumps onto the table and finally snags her snack.

Her owner MacKenzie Reinen said Topagna did not have to be taught the trick, and she was geniunely surprised by how she went about her petty theft.

Success: Having pushed the chair to the table, she then jumps onto it for the final dash to glory

Tasty: All that's left to is enjoy her well-earned dinner

She said: 'She knows tricks. They're all her own tricks. She makes them up on her own. We don't really teach them to her.

And family friend Corey Fehlinger added: 'We were trying to figure out where was it going and we knew she was getting it. We just didn't know how.

'A lot of people just call her the ugliest dog they're ever seen. I mean there's no fur on her at all.'

Incredulous: The dog's owner Mackenzie Reinen (left) said she had not been trained to perform the trick, as did family friend Corey Fehlinger (right)
